 Fun Digital Circus

When we did digital circus, it was very fun. We had to choose a number and it had a link on it. It took you to a slide and that was the cool Christmas activity you had to do. I chose number 3 and I got to draw a stick man and it was an great game. You had to draw a stick man and it told you a story without words but movement. I had to draw different things like a key and a drain to take out the flood. At the end it was done and I had so much fun. I thought that it was a amazing game and I hope I get to play it again. This is a photo of my stick man and I tried to make it like a ninja.

SLJ ( Summer Learning Journey ) 2020

 SLJ 2020

Today we did something exciting and it was colouring a picture. We used Art colouring to colour in and it was for our teaser for Summer Learning Journey. It wasn't any boring old colouring, we could use different textures and different colour to colour in some amazing painting. We did it on our chromebooks and I think it is a very awesome website and I had so much fun. Can you try to guess which one is mine?

Meeting our new classroom

 Meeting our new classroom

On the 27th of November we got a chance to meet our new classroom and I really like that we could because we can be more comfortable at our new school next year. Once everybody was there in the hall, the principal was greeting us in. Our new teachers called our names out and we went into our classroms.

I am in a really cool classroom and the first thing we did was get our notices and go through what to wear and other important stuff we need to know. We got papers and colour pencils to write about your self. We wrote our names and the teacher took pictures with our names. Then we had to go back to the hall and it was all done.

It was really fun and most people went in cars back to school but me and my friends walked back. We walked up the backtrack and we had so much fun meeting our new classroom. I hope I get to do that in the next school i'm going too.

Fantastic Skateboarding Practicce

 Fantastic Skateboarding Practice

Have you ever skateboarded before? We had the priviledge of being taught how to skateboard by Ben and Lawrence ( Our instructors for skateboarding ). They showed us to put on our helmets and turn the skateboard around. We did a couple of laps around the court and we got isolated into groups. They taught us how to do a tik tack and how to it is to turn the skateboard. A tik tack is when you lift up the tail and turn the skateboard. We played what's the time mr wolf but on skateboards, it was really fun. We got free time at the end and some of us went on the big ramp.

I felt challenged was when I was turning, sometimes I would fall and some people let their skateboards roll across the court and it bumped into me. I liked that the instructors took us step by step just in case someone didn't know what to do. I have learned how to stop the skateboard and how to turn properly. I gained more confidence during the lesson and gained more growth mindset and saying in my head "I can do it".

I felt so amazing when I could actually go down the big ramp that I was pretty scared off. I kept on doing it and I was teaching my friend and she got better and better. She kept on trying but she was so close. I had so much fun speeding past people and feeling the fresh breez blowing in my face. It was time to pack it up and the instructures stacked the skateboards in a cool way and it was morning tea. I had a great time and I think eveyrone had fun too.

Our AMAZING school production!!!

 Our AMAZING school production

On Wendesday, Thursday and Friday we had our fantastic production that was called Jasmine and Aladdin. The wonderful Miss Mcgrath trained the cast for thirteen weeks, the backstage crew and sound and lighting ony got to practice for 3 weeks and then it was the real show. It was kinda boring in rehersals because you have to wait if you are only in one scene and you had nothing to do. When it was show time, the cast that had make up had to get there a bit earlier so it can be quicker for other people to get make up. The parents could come in later so everyone can get ready in their costumes and be ready to go on stage to do their dance. The backstage crew was ready and the rest was ready too, people looked very nervous but I wasn't really that nervous.

"Welcome to Waikowhai Primary School awesome production" said Miss Mcgrath into the microphone in an ethusiastic way. All the parents sat down quietly and the show started. It ws really packed because they wanted to see their awesome kids go up on the stage and do their thing. It was running smoothly and everybody was cool and relaxed. It was very hot and I was super sweaty. Everone got dressed into their normal clothes again and waited untill their parents came to pick them up.

We did that whole process for three days and it turned out to be great and everone was over joyed because it was fun to watch and be in it. I hope I get to be in one again because I had fun. Next time I want to be in the cast because it looked fun. Have you ever been in a production and what was it about? Our one was about Jasmine and Aladdin.

Cartoon strips

 Cartoon strips

For cartoon strips we had to make a conversation in Maori and it was hard. We did it in maori because it was Maori language week and it would be a fun and different activity to do. I have never made a cartoon strip but it was very fun and we got to be creative. I did it about what they did in the weekends and one of them was a robot and the other was a super hero. We also got to change the background and the lines on it too.

I picked the robot and the superhero because they looked cool and they also looked very awesome. I chose to make speech bubbles so I can record the dialogue between my to characters. Everyones cartoon strip was different and some people even got to do a 2nd one. I don't know that much Maori so I just used translater and I think everyone used it too so it is all right. I was pretty good at translating and putting it on my work. I had so much fun and I hope I get to do it again but in another language.

Mono Print

 Mono Print

For Mono printing we had to carry on with creating our animals and I was onto the part of the process of when we print. Printing was fun because we got to choose the colour and we got to roll the ink onto a board. My first one was very bad because you couldn't see it, but my second one was very cool because I chose purple and you could see mine clearly. Everybody had to do one and the teachers gave me feedback and it turned out to be amazing. I love the purple one because it looks super cool and I love the patterns on it too. The easy part was when you roll onto the board because you just had to put it on and make sure it was even. The hard part was to try to line up your sketch with the board and you had to try to do it perfect so it looks fantastic. I chose to draw the shark because it looked cool and it looked easy to copy. I had a very fun day and I want to do more Mono Printing in school too.
