Drawing Moari Gods
In week 7 we started to draw maori gods but before we we read a book called In The Begining with all the maori gods in the book. First we had to choose a god in the book and he had to draw what we think the gods looks like in your way and you're not allowed to look on google or the book. I chose Tu but his real name is Tumatuenga but they call him Tu for short. I drew big muscley arms because he is the god of war and men and he needs muscley arms to have a war.
My moari god is fat and he has a taha so when he fights he can hit people within it. A taha is a moari weapon that moaris used to use back in the olden days. I also drew tatoos and his tongue poking out so he looks scary and people wouldn't want to fight him. I tried to draw him skinny but it turned out that he was fat and his nails turned out to be sharp and long. I coloured him red, grey black because red and black looks like a brave and scary colour. It turned out to be fantastic and cool when it was finished.
