Discovering Aotearoa
My culture is samoan and I was born in New Zealand but my parents came from samoa. I speak english but I want to learn how to speak samoan. Sometimes my parents speak samoan but I don't understand some words. In samoa there's heaps of mango trees and heaps of mosquito's. Apia is the capital city of samoa and there is humungas trees over there. This is a picture from samoa that looks like a outside pool but kinda like a cave to.
Blog you later!!!
Tālofa Lava Demitrius,
ReplyDeleteKueni here for the Summer Learning Programme. I, along with Eliza am apart of the Summer Learning Journey and thought i’d pop over to your blog to check out some of your awesome blog posts! :)
Thank you so much for sharing a little bit about your culture and where your family is from. I like that you talked about not being able to speak the language of your culture (Samoan) but that you are willing to learn, that is so awesome! I also really like that you used a picture of the To Sua trench water hole, I would love to visit sometime, have you ever been to Samoa?
I am also Samoan, my family is from a village names Leulumoega which is on the island of Upolu. Do you know what village your family is from in Samoa? What are some of your favourite things about being Samoan? Is it the food? The language? I personally have never been to Samoa but a lot of my family has and I have only heard great things about Samoa, have you ever visited? I would love to learn more about your favourite things about your culture and some more aspects of your culture that are important to you and your family.
Blog soon, Tofā!
