Defying the odds

Defying the odds

For Summer Learning Journey I had to pick LeBron James or Steven Adams to interview on of them. I picked LeBron James and my first question is how much money do you get each game? My second question is how much do you train each week? Which shot do you think is your best so far? This is a Link to one of LeBron James highlights. There is also a photo of him to. For Summer Learning Journey I had to choose three super powers, why have I chose it and what will I do with it. My first super power would be super speed because it would be awesome to beat everyone in the olympics and I can steal things in shops and not pay. My second super power would be flying powers so I can fly high and see more coutries and I don't have to pay at the airport. My last super power would be invisibility so I can do pranks and I can protect myself when people want to fight. What super powers would you choose? Blog you later!!!

Miracle on the Hudson

Miracle on the Hudson

For Summer Learning Journey I had to do a recount about me or someone else about a time that me or them has been brave. I was brave when I was in the juniors and I went to the sand pit and stepped on the needle. The needle came from a painting it was made out of recycle lids. My sister carried me then other teachers carried me up to the office. My uncle came and took me to the docters in Three Kings. I went in and I was lying on the bed waiting for a docter to pull it out. I was really scared because I thought it would hurt but when the dovter came and pulled it out I didn't feel a thing. Thank you for reading my recount you can read my next blog post if you want. Blog you later!!!

One small step for man

One small step for man

For Summer Learning Journey I had to right a poem about if I was Neil Armstrong how I would feel on the moon.

I'm the first man on the moon
I think it's already noon
I felt really scared
I think they already shared
with the whole intire world
and my fingers were curled
I also felt proud
in front of a big crowd

Thank you for reading my poem if you want you can read my next blog post. Blog you later!!!

Flying solo

Flying solo

For Summer Learning Journey I had to compare and contrast two aviator (pilot) and their names are Jean Batten and Amelia Earhart. Jean Batten was the first person to fly solo (on her own) from England to New Zealand. Emelia was the first female to fly solo across the atlantic ocean, from Canada to Northern Ireland. They both can fly solo and they both are aviators. Emelia got lost and was never found in the Pacific Oceans. This is a photo of Jean Battern and Amelia earhart. Blog you later!!!

Scaling new heights

Scaling new heights

On Summer Learning Journey I needed to chose a charity so I chose SPCA because I already know a little about it. I read about it and I learnt that they help animals that are sick, injured, abused or abandoned. I also learnt that two cats called Molly and Oscar after their mom got hit by a car the SPCA rescued it. I love animals but my favourite animal is dogs because their cute and playful. If you want to donate to them just search up SPCA so more animals can live and be happy. This is a picture of what the SPCA sign world look like. Blog you later!!!

Discover Aotearoa

Discovering Aotearoa

My culture is samoan and I was born in New Zealand but my parents came from samoa. I speak english but I want to learn how to speak samoan. Sometimes my parents speak samoan but I don't understand some words. In samoa there's heaps of mango trees and heaps of mosquito's. Apia is the capital city of samoa and there is humungas trees over there. This is a picture from samoa that looks like a outside pool but kinda like a cave to.

Setting sail

Setting sail

Our first activaty in summer learning journey was called setting sail and I had to name 10 food items. These are the 10 food items that I chose was bananas, sushi, chips, bars, nuts, fruit salad, cheese, dark chocolate, water, coles cookies. I think these things will last me for three weeks and it would be cool if I actually went with him in his canoe. This is a picture of one of the canoes called Hokule'a

The last FUTSAL

The last FUTSAL

On the 4th of December, sadly it was the last lesson of futsal. First Kingsley and Leon (our coaches) numbered us in groups and then we lined up. After we did some games like over and under and tunnel ball. Then we did some relays and we went around the cone, hot potato and heaps more. We didn't get to play a game because we didn't have enough time. They thought we had the whole time but we didn't and the other class was coming out. When they said that was our last lesson I was surprised because it went so fast. I had alot of fun because we were doing it with Hauraki and because we played alot of fun games. My favourite one was hot potato because we won and because we worked as a team to win to.
